VegasNow live blackjack: tables, bets and bonus maths
Our live blackjack lobby streams real dealers to your browser, with standard seven-seat tables, Infinite Blackjack, Power Blackjack and Bet Behind. This page shows how a hand runs, what each bet does, how to keep a whole hand inside the A$8 bonus cap, and why the 10% wagering rate makes the table a slow place to clear a bonus.

What you get at a VegasNow blackjack table
Here is the short version, drawn from the studio's table information and from our own published terms. Read it before you pick a seat; the sections below explain each line.

How one hand plays out at our live tables
You are playing the dealer and nobody else. Other seats cannot change whether your cards beat the dealer's; only Bet Behind, covered below, ties your money to another player's choices.
Chips down while the timer runs
Each round opens with a countdown. The main bet sits in the middle of your seat and optional side bets go in the small circles nearby. At zero, betting closes.
Two cards each, one dealer card showing
Every seat is dealt two cards. The dealer also takes two but reveals just one, the upcard, and that single card is all you know about the dealer's hand.
Hit, stand, or more
Draw another card or stop where you are. If the table rules offer doubling or splitting, a button appears for each, and using either puts a second stake, equal to your first, on the table. A total above 21 loses there and then.
Dealer draws, then settlement
With every seat finished, the dealer plays out the hand by the fixed rule shown on the table. Any hand that has not bust is compared with the dealer's total, and the one nearer 21 takes it. Side bets are paid or lost on their own terms.
Make up your mind early in each window. Dealers keep a steady pace, and a laggy connection can swallow the seconds you were counting on. Past hands are no guide either: a dealer on a hot streak is only a description of what has already happened.
Standard, Infinite or Power: choosing a VegasNow blackjack format
| Format | Seats | Shoe | Spots beyond the main bet |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard live blackjack | Seven | Deck count varies by table | Perfect Pairs and 21+3 on most tables |
| Infinite Blackjack | No cap on players | Deck count varies by table | Perfect Pairs, 21+3, Bust It, Hot 3, Any Pair |
| Power Blackjack | Shown on the table | Eight decks, every nine and ten taken out, picture cards left in | Perfect Pairs, 21+3, Bust It, Hot 3, Any Pair |
If the seven-seat tables are full, you have two choices: back a seated hand through Bet Behind, or move to Infinite Blackjack, where the number of players has no ceiling.
Power Blackjack is the format to approach with care. Its shoe loses all of its nines and tens while the jacks, queens and kings remain. Work that through and you find, for example, that a hard 19 can no longer arrive in two cards, since it needs a nine alongside a ten-value card; ace plus eight is the only two-card 19 left. Read the rules panel before your first hand, exactly as you would for any unfamiliar game.
One thing the choice of format does not change is the bonus arithmetic. Standard, Infinite and Power tables are all blackjack for wagering purposes, so each counts at 10% and each is bound by the same A$8 ceiling while a bonus is open. Pick the table for the game you enjoy, then do the bonus sums separately.
The bets on a blackjack layout, explained
Main bet
Your money on your own cards, and the only stake you steer with hit, stand and the other buttons. It is settled against the dealer's finished hand.
Bet Behind
You back a seat that someone else is playing. They take every decision, and your result mirrors theirs at the payout the table gives that hand.
Perfect Pairs
Wins if your opening two cards are a pair. Winners are graded as mixed, coloured or perfect, by how well the two cards match.
21+3
Combines your first two cards with the dealer's face-up card, and pays if the three together make a poker hand.
Infinite and Power tables carry three further spots. Bust It is a wager that the dealer goes over 21, while Hot 3 and Any Pair have conditions printed in the table's help screen. Every side bet stands alone with its own paytable: a Perfect Pairs win does nothing for a main hand that loses, and a 21+3 loss leaves a winning main hand untouched.
We leave payouts to the table itself. The paytables displayed in the game are the ones that settle your chips.
Fitting a full hand under the VegasNow A$8 bonus ceiling
Any active bonus caps each bet at A$8. Our advice is to read that cap broadly at the blackjack table and add together all the money one hand can carry: main bet, side bets, the extra chips from doubling or splitting, and a Bet Behind placed in the same round. Decide how to share out the A$8 before the countdown begins.
| Layout | Before your decision | After your decision | Inside A$8? |
|---|---|---|---|
| A$8 main bet, nothing else | A$8 | A$8, with no room to double or split | Yes, at the limit |
| A$3.50 main and A$1 Perfect Pairs, then a double | A$4.50 | A$8 | Yes, at the limit |
| A$4.50 main, A$2 on 21+3 and A$1.50 Perfect Pairs | A$8 | A$8, with no room to double | Yes, at the limit |
| A$2.50 main, A$1 Any Pair and A$1 Bust It, then a split | A$4.50 | A$7 | Yes |
| A$5.50 main, then a double | A$5.50 | A$11 | No, A$3 over |
| A$5.50 in your seat plus A$3 Bet Behind on a neighbour | A$8.50 | A$8.50 | No, A$0.50 over |
A rule of thumb falls out of the table. To keep a double available, the opening main bet should be no larger than half of whatever the side bets leave. Put A$1 on Perfect Pairs and A$7 remains, so A$3.50 is the largest main bet that can still be doubled.
Blackjack and the VegasNow wagering counter
The general bonus terms we published on 26 February 2024 weight games unevenly. Blackjack sits at 10%, level with game shows. Roulette is weighted at 25%, pokies at 100% apart from listed exceptions, and baccarat at zero. A A$1 blackjack stake therefore moves the counter by 10 cents, whether the hand wins or loses. Welcome offers work across both the casino and the live casino, which makes blackjack eligible, just slow.
Say your first deposit is A$180. The 150% match adds A$270, and forty times that gives an A$10,800 target to reach within seven days.
| Where you play | Weighting | Stakes to reach A$10,800 | Bets at A$8 | Daily average over 7 days |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pokies outside the exceptions list | 100% | A$10,800 | 1,350 | About 193 |
| Roulette | 25% | A$43,200 | 5,400 | About 771 |
| Live blackjack | 10% | A$108,000 | 13,500 | About 1,929 |
| Baccarat | 0% | Cannot be reached | Not applicable | Not applicable |
Those counts assume the full A$8 every time; drop to A$5 a hand and blackjack needs 21,600 hands. A few other rules ride along. Your next welcome stage, the 100% second-deposit match with code VEGAS2, cannot start while this bonus is live, because the terms allow just one at once. A deposit bonus can return at most A$5,000 per offer. And separately from any bonus, our account terms require a deposit to be staked three times over before a withdrawal, which here means A$540; an early request may be refused or carry a processing fee. The welcome bonus page lays out all four stages.
Why blackjack clears a bonus slowly, and what to do instead
One dollar of progress costs ten dollars of blackjack action. Playing well protects your balance, but it does nothing for the counter, which measures money staked rather than money won.
The clock makes it worse. Dealers set the pace and every seat must act, while the seven days count down regardless. At A$8 a hand you add A$0.80 each time, so 13,500 hands is the quickest the rules permit. Whether A$450 of combined deposit and bonus holds up across A$108,000 of stakes is not something any average can promise.
- Say no to the bonus. The general terms permit declining, which takes away the A$8 ceiling, the seven-day deadline and the 40× target. Three-times deposit turnover still applies to withdrawals.
- Split the work. A$10,000 through pokies counts in full, and A$8,000 of blackjack adds A$800, which together reach A$10,800.
- Keep blackjack for unhurried sessions. Clear or decline the bonus first, then play with only the table's own limits to think about.
Roulette's 25% is the middle ground. Crazy Time and the other game shows share blackjack's 10%, so switching to them buys nothing.
VegasNow loyalty points from blackjack
Loyalty runs on real-money turnover across seven levels themed on Las Vegas, beginning with Golden Glimmer and ending at Bella Vista. Pokies earn quickest, with one redeemable point and one status point for every A$25. Roulette needs A$100 per point. Blackjack, like baccarat, needs A$250. A winning session and a losing one earn identically when the stakes match.
- 300 hands at A$5 come to A$1,500 and earn 6 points.
- The A$108,000 of hands that would clear our A$270 example earns 432 points, which covers two 200-point exchanges at Golden Glimmer (A$5 each) and leaves 32.
- Golden Glimmer II needs 600 status points; through blackjack alone that is A$150,000 of stakes, against A$15,000 on pokies.
- The saved-up exchange of 2,000 points for A$60 would mean A$500,000 at the table.
Points convert to a bonus, not cash, and each exchange comes with 40× wagering. An A$5 exchange creates A$200 of wagering; at 10% that is A$2,000 of blackjack, or 250 hands of A$8. The A$60 option creates A$2,400, which the table turns into A$24,000 of stakes, or 3,000 hands. Rates improve as you climb: Parisian Palace Las Vegas gives A$20 for 750 points, and Bella Vista gives A$5,000 for 100,000. See the VIP and loyalty page for thresholds and the Sin City lounge.
Diamond Club Blackjack Cashback on the VegasNow promotions calendar
Of the nine repeating offers on our promotions page, Diamond Club Blackjack Cashback is the only one aimed at the card tables. Its rate, cap, qualifying window and wagering sit on the offer card in your account, and that card is what to read before relying on it. We give no figures for it here because the public page gives none.
Two of the other eight do show headline terms. On Tuesdays, Lucky 7s Load Up matches 77% of a deposit up to A$77 and can be repeated. On Fridays, Friday Night Spotlight adds 40 free spins on the featured game for every qualifying deposit. The remaining six are Monthly Bankroll Booster, Grand Mondays, Sunday Split, 7-Deadly Spins, Free Spins Flush and 3-of-a-kind Thursdays.
Unless its card states otherwise, a credit from any of them follows the general terms: 40× by default, a seven-day life, the A$8 ceiling and one bonus at once. To see what those general terms mean at the tables, take a A$20 bonus credit as an illustration of the rules, not of any offer: forty times is A$800, and because blackjack counts at 10%, that becomes A$8,000 of stakes, or 1,000 hands at the A$8 ceiling, while pokies would clear the same A$800 at full weight. If an offer card names another multiple, redo the sum with it. The weekly promotions page has the full calendar.
Blackjack on your phone, and what to do when a stream freezes
Our tables load in the mobile browser. There is no VegasNow app on the App Store or Google Play and no APK, so a download presented as ours is not ours. For an app-style icon, use Safari's Share button and then Add to Home Screen, leaving Open as Web App on; in Chrome, tap More and choose Install or create a shortcut. The mobile page shows each screen.
Live video wants a stable connection, and the countdown will not wait while your screen buffers. Act early in each window, and put a deposit limit on the account before you start rather than partway through. Mobile data works too, though moving between Wi-Fi and data in the middle of a hand can interrupt the picture.
Should the picture stop during a hand, hold off repeating the bet. What the account records is what counts, not the last image on screen. Send our support team (live chat or [email protected]) these details:
- the table's full name and provider;
- when it happened, including your time zone;
- any round or transaction reference on screen;
- your device and any error shown.
Avoidable mistakes at the blackjack table
- Counting blackjack at face value. It is weighted 10%, so A$10,800 of wagering means A$108,000 of hands.
- Leaving side bets out of the A$8 sum. With a bonus live, add every chip on the hand, doubles and splits included.
- Opening at A$5.50 with plans to double. The double takes the hand to A$11, A$3 above the ceiling.
- Playing Power Blackjack like a standard game. With no nines or tens in the shoe, different totals turn up.
- Forgetting who decides at Bet Behind. The seated player makes every call; your stake simply follows.
- Expecting a side bet to save the main hand. Each settles alone, and a losing Perfect Pairs stake stays lost.
- Grinding baccarat for wagering. Its weighting is zero.
- Swapping loyalty points mid-bonus. The new bonus waits behind the active one, so clear or decline that first.
- Requesting a withdrawal straight after a deposit. Three times the deposit has to be staked first.
Keeping VegasNow blackjack sessions under control
Just Entertainment B.V. (Curaçao company 160603) operates VegasNow, and its licence, OGL/2024/164/0246, was issued by the Curaçao Gaming Authority; the licence validator shows the record. You must be 18 or older to hold an account.
Each hand is short, and a run of short hands can carry a session past its budget. Fix the amount before you sit, set a deposit limit, and stop when it is gone instead of upping the stake to chase it. Self-exclusion is in your account settings if play stops feeling like entertainment, and our responsible gambling page goes through each tool.
For free, confidential help around the clock, call Gambling Help Online on 1800 858 858 or visit gamblinghelponline.org.au. BetStop is the national self-exclusion register for wagering providers licensed in Australia, so at VegasNow use the limits and self-exclusion inside your account.
VegasNow live blackjack: questions and answers
How many people can play at one VegasNow blackjack table?
A standard table has seven seats. Infinite Blackjack takes any number of players, and when the seven seats are filled you can still join the round with Bet Behind.
What does Bet Behind mean?
Backing a hand that another player is seated at. That player chooses every action, and your stake shares the outcome of their hand at the table's payout. With a bonus live, include it in your A$8 sum.
What side bets are on offer?
Most tables carry Perfect Pairs and 21+3. On Infinite and Power Blackjack you also get Bust It, Hot 3 and Any Pair. Each side bet has its own paytable on the table and settles on its own, apart from your main hand.
How does blackjack count toward VegasNow bonus wagering?
At 10%, under the general bonus terms dated 26 February 2024. An A$270 bonus at 40× needs A$10,800 of wagering, which takes A$108,000 of blackjack stakes.
Are doubles and side bets part of the A$8 limit?
We recommend treating them that way while a bonus is active. An A$4 main bet doubled lands exactly on A$8, but A$4 plus A$1 on 21+3 cannot be doubled without passing the limit by A$1. With no bonus, the table's own range applies.
How fast does blackjack earn loyalty points?
One point per A$250, so A$2,000 of hands gives 8 points. The entry exchange of 200 points for A$5 at Golden Glimmer needs A$50,000 of blackjack, and the A$5 bonus carries 40× wagering.
Where are the Diamond Club Blackjack Cashback terms?
On the offer card in your VegasNow account, not on the public promotions page. A credit paid as a bonus follows the general terms unless the card says otherwise, and blackjack clears it at 10%.
Can I download a VegasNow blackjack app?
No native app or APK exists. Open the site in Safari or Chrome and add it to your Home Screen for one-tap access to the tables.
Can I skip the bonus and just play blackjack?
Yes. Our general terms let you decline, which removes the A$8 ceiling, the seven-day timer and the 40× target. A deposit still has to be staked three times before withdrawal.
