Lightning Roulette at VegasNow: payouts and multipliers in dollars

Lightning Roulette in our live lobby is Evolution's single-zero roulette table with one addition: in every round, one to five numbers are struck with multipliers between 50× and 500×. Straight-up bets carry the whole effect, paying 29:1 on an unstruck number and the multiplier on a struck one. Below we price each outcome in Australian dollars and show how the table fits our bonus and loyalty rules.

What happens in one round at the VegasNow lightning table

A presenter runs the game from Evolution's studio, and every round has the same four beats. The order explains why the lightning can only ever help one kind of chip.

1. Bets open

A countdown starts and you place chips: single numbers, the small inside groups (splits, streets, corners and six-number lines) or the outside boxes around the edge of the layout. When the countdown ends, the layout closes for that spin.

2. Lightning strikes

Between one and five numbers light up on screen. Each is handed a random value somewhere between 50× and 500×, so two lit numbers in the same round can carry very different multipliers.

3. The ball drops

The host sends the ball round the wheel and it settles into a single pocket: zero or a number from 1 to 36.

4. Chips are settled

A single-number chip on the winner collects 29:1, or its multiplier if that number was lit. Any other winning bet earns its ordinary roulette rate, and losing chips are cleared.

Keep one line from that sequence in mind: the lightning touches straight-up chips and nothing else. A lit number does nothing for a chip on a corner, a column or the black box, even when the ball stops right on it.

Frequency and payout are separate questions, too. Any single number turns up, on average, once in 37 spins, as on any single-zero wheel. The lightning changes how a winning straight-up is paid, not how often one arrives.

The straight-up payout ladder at VegasNow, in dollars

A straight-up chip can end a round in only three ways, and each can be priced from the published figures. The table uses three chip sizes, all inside the A$8 limit that applies while a bonus is running.

OutcomeA$2 chipA$4 chipA$6 chip
Ball lands on another pocketA$2 lostA$4 lostA$6 lost
Your number wins, not lit (29:1)A$58A$116A$174
Your number wins, lit at 50×A$100A$200A$300
Your number wins, lit at 500×A$1,000A$2,000A$3,000

For any multiplier in between, multiply the chip by the figure shown on your number. With a bonus active, the ceiling is an A$8 chip on a number lit at 500×: A$4,000.

Why only 29:1 for an unlit hit, when a classic roulette table pays more for one number? The multipliers are funded from that gap. Compare the payout panel on one of the standard roulette tables in our live casino lobby with this one and you can see the price of the lightning. Neither design is better: one gives steadier mid-sized wins, the other trades some of them for rare, much larger ones.

One chip or three: spreading the same A$6 at VegasNow

Should a round's money go on one number or several? The rules make the trade-off easy to see. Here is the same A$6 a round played two ways.

A$6 on one numberA$2 on each of three numbers

The bottom two rows are the point. Sharing chips out changes nothing about what a round costs, how far it moves a requirement or the points it earns. It changes the shape of your results: wins arrive about three times as often, each a third of the size. And since only one pocket wins per spin, two straight-up chips can never pay together.

Splits, dozens and colours: what VegasNow pays away from the straight-up

Straight-up

One number. Pays 29:1, or the multiplier if that number was lit. The only bet the lightning reaches.

Inside groups

Splits, streets, corners and lines. Usual roulette rates, with no multiplier even when a lit number wins.

Outside boxes

Dozens, columns, the colours, odd or even, 1 to 18 or 19 to 36. Ordinary rates, untouched by the lightning.

A mixed layout shows it in practice. Put A$3 on the middle dozen and A$1 straight-up on 17, A$4 in all. If 17 is lit at 50× and the ball lands there, the dozen is paid at its normal rate and not a cent more, while the A$1 chip pays A$50. If 17 wins unlit, the dozen is paid the same way and the chip pays A$29. If the ball stops on 14, the dozen still wins and the A$1 on 17 is lost.

We haven't reprinted every group rate here; the payout panel on the table is the version that governs your chips. The thing to remember is that no line except the straight-up has a lightning column.

How Lightning Roulette counts toward VegasNow bonus wagering

The contribution rates sit in our general bonus terms of 26 February 2024. Pokies count in full, bar the listed exceptions; roulette counts a quarter; blackjack and game shows a tenth; baccarat nothing. Lightning Roulette is roulette, so each A$1 staked moves a requirement 25 cents. Welcome money can be played at the live tables, so the game is eligible, just slow.

Here is the first stage of our welcome package (150% match, 40× wagering on the bonus, seven days) at three deposit sizes, with every spin at the A$8 maximum.

First depositBonus at 150%Wagering at 40×Roulette stakes needed at 25%Spins at A$8Spins a day over 7 days

A$320A$480A$19,200A$76,8009,600About 1,371

Halve the stake to A$4 and the spin counts double, so the A$110 example becomes 6,600 spins in a week. The same A$6,600 requirement needs A$6,600 of stakes on a pokie that counts in full, or A$66,000 at blackjack or a game show such as Crazy Time.

Later stages work the same way. An A$160 second deposit with code VEGAS2 earns a 100% match of A$160 plus 50 free spins; 40× on the bonus is A$6,400, which is A$25,600 of stakes if you clear it entirely at the lightning table.

Separately, our account terms ask for every deposit to be turned over three times before you withdraw money linked to it, bonus or not. On the A$110 example that's A$330 of play.

The A$8 limit and the A$5,000 cap on a VegasNow live wheel

Two caps in our bonus terms bite harder here than on most games, because one small chip can become a large result.

The A$8 maximum bet

Whenever bonus money is in play, no bet may exceed A$8. Since one roulette spin can hold several chips, the sensible reading is to keep everything on a single spin at or under A$8, which is how every example on this page is built. Unsure how a layout would be counted? Ask support before you play, not after.

The A$5,000 cash-out cap

Each offer's bonus winnings top out at A$5,000 in withdrawable cash. An A$6 straight-up lit at 500× pays A$3,000, well inside. A second one on the same live bonus takes that offer's winnings to A$6,000 on paper, yet A$5,000 is all it can become as withdrawable cash. On a pokie the ceiling rarely comes into view; here it can arrive in two spins.

Bonus or cash play at the VegasNow lightning table?

A live wheel clears a requirement slowly for two reasons, and the lightning changes neither. One is the rate: A$4 staked for each A$1 of progress. The other is pace: rounds move on the studio's timetable while the seven-day clock runs between sessions. Contribution is counted on the stake, so an A$2 chip that pays A$1,000 moves the requirement 50 cents, the same as an A$2 chip that loses.

If roulette is why you're here, skipping the bonus is often cleaner: no clock, no A$8 ceiling, no target. If you want the match, the rates favour clearing most of it on pokies and keeping the lightning table for play with nothing riding on it. Our bonuses page lists every offer side by side.

VegasNow loyalty points from Lightning Roulette

Real-money play earns loyalty points at a rate set by the game type. Roulette pays one point per A$100 wagered; slots are quicker at one per A$25, while blackjack and baccarat need A$250 a point. Points track turnover, not results, so a good and a bad session of equal size score the same.

At the table, 160 cash rounds at A$5 is A$800 of stakes and earns 8 points. The entry-level Golden Glimmer rate turns 200 points into A$5 of bonus funds, the smallest exchange in the Loyalty Store, and collecting 200 on roulette alone takes A$20,000 of wagering. A points bonus carries 40× wagering, so that A$5 needs A$200 of qualifying play, or A$800 of roulette stakes at 25%.

Better exchange rates come with higher levels, up to Bella Vista at the top of the seven. Our VIP and loyalty page has the thresholds and the Sin City VIP Lounge. Points should be a side effect of play you'd do anyway, never a reason to stay at the wheel.

Lightning Roulette on your phone with VegasNow

You play this table in Safari or Chrome; we don't publish a store app and you should never need an APK file. Stream, layout and lightning effects all work on a phone, and a Home Screen icon makes the site open like an app. Our mobile page walks through saving it on iPhone, iPad and Android.

A live wheel punishes a shaky connection more than a pokie does, because the countdown closes on the studio's clock, not yours. Three habits help:

  • Get chips down early in the countdown rather than in the last seconds.
  • Stay on one network for the whole round; switching from Wi-Fi to mobile data mid-spin invites a dropout.
  • If the stream freezes, check your balance before re-placing the same chips, and note the time for support.
  • Turn the phone sideways if the layout feels cramped; the wider view makes single numbers easier to hit with a fingertip.

Lightning Roulette mistakes we'd steer you away from

  • Expecting a multiplied dozen or colour. Outside boxes and inside group bets always pay their ordinary rate. Only a straight-up chip on a lit number is multiplied.
  • Reading 500× as the usual hit. Values run from 50× to 500× at random, and at most five of the 37 numbers are lit in a round, so usually your number isn't one of them.
  • Judging 29:1 without the context. The lower plain payout is what funds the multipliers. It's the design, not a settlement error.
  • Letting a spin creep past A$8 with a bonus live. Three A$3 chips is A$9. Add the layout up before the countdown ends.
  • Counting roulette stakes at full value. They count at 25%, so A$1,200 of wagering needs A$4,800 at the wheel.
  • Following a number that feels overdue. The wheel has no memory. A long gap since 23 last appeared says nothing about the next spin.

Before your first VegasNow lightning spin: a checklist

  1. Fix the session budget and the chip size before you open the table.
  2. Look at whether bonus funds are running. If so, keep each spin at or under A$8 and watch the seven-day clock.
  3. Open the payout panel once and confirm the straight-up line reads 29:1 with the lightning range beside it.
  4. Pick an approach (one number, a handful, or outside bets), remembering that only straight-ups can be multiplied.
  5. Put a deposit cap on the account now if there isn't one; it covers every game.
  6. Have your ID documents handy. Verification can be requested before a withdrawal is paid, and it is easier to sort out early.
  7. Planning to withdraw later? Remember the three-times deposit turnover rule and our withdrawal ranges.

Playing Lightning Roulette within your limits

Just Entertainment B.V. runs VegasNow, holding licence OGL/2024/164/0246 from the Curaçao Gaming Authority; the public validator shows the record. Every account holder must be 18 or older.

This game is fast, repetitive and built to thrill, and a 500× flash is designed to stick in the memory. None of that should move the budget you set beforehand. An A$65 evening at A$2 a round lasts 32 rounds if nothing comes back, with A$1 spare; knowing that in advance makes stopping easier.

Deposit limits and self-exclusion sit inside your VegasNow account, and our responsible gambling page covers each tool. If play has stopped being fun for you or someone you know, Gambling Help Online is free and confidential at any hour on 1800 858 858.

Lightning Roulette at VegasNow: questions and answers

What does a straight-up bet pay on Lightning Roulette at VegasNow?

29:1 when your number wins unlit, so an A$3 chip pays A$87. When the number was lit, the multiplier applies instead: from A$150 at 50× up to A$1,500 at 500× for the same A$3 chip.

How many numbers get struck in a round?

Anywhere from one to five, and each one carries its own random multiplier in the 50× to 500× range.

Are red, black, dozen or column bets multiplied?

No. Every bet other than a straight-up is paid at its ordinary roulette rate, even when the winning number was lit.

What share of my Lightning Roulette stakes counts toward a VegasNow bonus?

A quarter. An A$1,200 requirement, for example, takes A$4,800 of roulette stakes, where a pokie counting in full would clear it with A$1,200.

What is the biggest bet allowed with a bonus active?

A$8. On a roulette layout we suggest keeping the total of all chips on one spin within that figure until the bonus is finished or declined.

Can a 500× win be withdrawn in full while I'm clearing a bonus?

Bonus winnings from one deposit offer are withdrawable up to A$5,000. One 500× hit on a chip of A$8 or less stays below that, but two big hits on the same offer can go past it.

Does Lightning Roulette earn loyalty points?

Yes, on real-money play, at one point per A$100 wagered. Your first Loyalty Store swap at Golden Glimmer is 200 points for A$5 of bonus funds, which then carries 40× wagering.

Can I turn down a bonus so the A$8 limit doesn't apply?

Yes. Our terms allow a bonus to be declined, which removes the A$8 ceiling, the 40× target and the seven-day clock. The three-times deposit turnover rule still applies before a withdrawal.

Why is there no RTP figure on this page?

Evolution doesn't publish one on its page for the game, and we only print figures we can source. Any RTP for roulette is a long-run average, not a prediction for one session.

Does Lightning Roulette work on mobile?

Yes, in Safari or Chrome. There's no verified store app or APK to install; a Home Screen icon gives you one-tap access to the same site.
